Dear Friends: We only want to send you a small token of our appreciation to all of you just before days of celebrating Christmas and New Year. Christians always try to highlight the real meaning of celebration saying, for example, "There is no Christmas without Jesus". Just few days ago I found an old book written by Malcolm Muggeridge called Jesus Rediscovered. In one of the chapters I found some beautiful thoughts about Jesus which were preached here in Oxford almost 40 years ago. However, these words are so relevant today:
"Jesus who offered us the mysterious prospect of dying in order to live; who turned all the world's values upside down, telling us that it was the weak, not the strong, who mattered; the simple, not the learned, who understood; the poor, no the rich, who were blessed. A man whose cross, on which he died in agony, became the symbol of the wildest, seweetest hopes ever to be entertained, and the inspiration of the noblest and most joyous lives ever to be lived."
We are full of joy because of the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ and also for all the hope he gave freely to us through His presence. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
